VIA LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

The Valley Industry Association has created an SCV Leadership Program to assist in satisfying the goal of preparing the next generation of VIA Committee Chairs and Board members with the ultimate goal of creating a continuing pathway to successor development for the organization and the business community as a whole.
The program fully acquaints participants with the work of the Valley Industry Association (projects, committees, programs, events, goals, and objectives) and the steps toward leadership roles (Committees, Board of Directors, Executive Board, Chairmanship).
Guest speakers discuss various aspects of leadership (i.e., The Importance of Vision, Local State & Federal Players, Leadership Ethics, Political Acuity, Communicating as a Leader, and much more….). Participants are provided recommended reading, homework, and team projects related to the topics.
Program participants will advance their business acumen while establishing valuable relationships with key community contacts and leaders (i.e. VIA Board, Educators, Elected Officials, Economic Development Corporation, SCV Chamber and Latino Chamber Leaders and others).
