Chair: Connie Worden-Roberts, SCV Transportation Management

Short Term Goals:

To develop a fully integrated circulation system with well planned and maintained roads, streets and highways, as well as highly functional bus and rail transit.

Meeting Times, Places and Participants:

The Committee meets regularly in the SCV Chamber of Commerce Board Room on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 11:45 a.m.

Transportation information and reports are give to VIA at the Board meetings and frequently at the monthly VIA luncheon meetings. Reporting to the Transportation Committee on agenda items are: California Highway Patrol, Sheriff’s Department, Cal Trans, County Public Works, City Public Works and Transit Personnel.

The Transportation Alliance:

This committee, Chaired by City Councilman Frank Ferry and Connie Worden-Roberts, supports the development of the vital connector road from SR14 to SR 126. Participants include all local and regional officials as well as business ersons, industrialists and environmental enthusiasts throughout the region. Persons who are interested in joining the Alliance and adding their voice to the completion of the much-needed project (adopted by the SC City Council as their number one priority in 2003) is welcome.
