| Contest Rules and Judging
Criteria
The following outlines the rules of the VIA Star Contest and the Judging Criteria.
- Teams must consist of between no fewer than three (3)) and no more than five (5) student members.
- Student Team members must attend the same school.
- Teacher coaches cannot represent more than two (2) teams unless VIA STAR is an in-class assignment that students must complete as part of the class curriculum. Please contact the VIA Office to advise of in-class projects so that multiple teams will be able to register.
- Primary Teacher coaches must be school representatives. Secondary assistance is encouraged.
- Each member of the Student Team must participate in the final presentation.
- Student Teams must meet (or contact electronically) with the Business Partner at least two (2) times to discuss the project.
- The Valley Industrial Association (VIA) reserves the right to make changes, deletions or additions to the Contest Rules at any time.
- Winning teams will be asked to showcase their project at the Tuesday, November 18, 2008 VIA luncheon meeting at the Hyatt Valencia.
- A contest Awards Program will be held on Monday, November 10th, 6:00 p.m. at the Embassy Suites in Valencia.
