The Valley Industrial Association is pleased to announce that Jack Stewart, President, California Manufacturing & Technology Association (CMTA) will be featured as the keynote speaker at the

July 15th luncheon meeting.

The California Manufacturers & Technology Association works to improve and enhance a strong business climate for California's 30,000 manufacturing, processing and technology based companies. Since 1918, CMTA has worked with state government to develop balanced laws, effective regulations and sound public policies to stimulate economic growth and create new jobs while safeguarding the state's environmental resources. CMTA represents businesses from the entire manufacturing community—an economic sector that generates more than $250 billion every year and employs more than 1.5 million Californians.  Among the top issues for CMTA are Career/Tech Education, Sufficient Workforce for the California Economy, Competitive Tax Policies for Manufacturers, and Access to
Affordable Healthcare.

Our state has 120 Legislators, over 75 Legislative policy committees, hundreds of regulatory agencies, and a never-ending political and initiative campaign cycle. CMTA can be an excellent partner and advocacy tool for business in the Capitol.  They sponsor and help write and push for legislation that makes it easier for manufacturers, processors, research & development, and biotech to compete and
grow in California.

California is challenged with a variety of tough issues - join us for the July 15th meeting to hear more about CMTA’s efforts and successes in today’s complicated economy.
